O tempo como história

Home, landscape and memory

Pavia

Pavia, in the Alentejo, is the emotional heart of Joaquim Arnaud's world.

Here, family history meets farming, vineyards and a way of life deeply rooted in the land and the rhythm of the seasons. The estate maintains a diversity of farming activities and a close relationship with the landscape, where dry-farmed vineyards, naturally low yields and minimal intervention are part of an approach in which producing less can mean knowing more about what is produced. Planting of the estate's present-day vineyard began in 2001, with the first wine made in 2004, followed by the launch of the Arundel brand in 2007.

Pavia is both his origin and a place to return to, even when Joaquim works in other regions or explores new interpretations, this is where he comes home.
